A VOTE FOR JOHN HANEY IS A VOTE FOR EXPERIENCE
John Haney is a lifelong Plant City resident whose roots run deep in the community. He grew up on Mud Lake Road before his family moved to Charlie Taylor Road, where he developed a strong appreciation for agriculture, cattle, and citrus groves. John attended local Plant City schools before graduating from Plant City High School in 1995.
After high school, John earned his Associate in Arts degree from Hillsborough Community College in Plant City and later completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at the University of South Florida. His education provided a strong foundation for a career built on discipline, leadership, and business expertise.
Following college, John joined a nationwide real estate auction firm, launching a 13-year career that took him across the country and abroad. During this time, he sold a wide range of properties, including high-rise office towers, luxury homes, large land tracts, and even an entire city in New Mexico. His work spanned all 67 Florida counties, 41 states, and six foreign countries. Despite extensive travel, Plant City remained home, leading John to co-found Ace Realty & Auction in 2014 and relocate the firm to downtown Plant City the following year, revitalizing a historic building on South Palmer Street.
Today, John is the sole owner of Ace Realty, which has grown into one of the largest real estate firms in the Plant City area, specializing in commercial, industrial, and large land transactions. He and his wife Amy, an elementary school counselor and fellow lifelong resident, have been married since 2001. They are proud parents to their son Ryan, a senior at Plant City High School. The family continues to live on their ranch on Charlie Taylor Road, where they raise Black Angus cattle and bale hay, remaining closely connected to the agricultural heritage that helped shape John’s life.
